I have only found this house mentioned once to date when it was in the hands of John Tritton, perhaps it changed name to the "George and Dragon."

TO BE SOLD BY AUCTION.

In one Lot, at the "Royal George," in Fordwich, on Wednesday, the 1st day of November next, about Four o'clock in the afternoon.

(If not sold before by private Contract.)

All that well-accustomed Inn, called the "Royal George", with the stable, Buildings, Garden, and other Appurtenances to the same belonging, situate in the town of Fordwich; of which premises and purchaser may have immediate possession, taking the stock, fixtures, and furniture, at a fair appraisement.
