Kentish Mercury, Saturday 15 March 1879.

Mr. Carttar appeared on behalf of Thomas Goodwin for a renewal of the licence of the "Warwick Arms" beer-house, Taylors Lane, Sydenham. The last tenant was a lady, who had to be ejected by being carried out in her arm chair and deposited in the street. Mr. Child opposed on behalf of two adjacent public houses, and the licence was refused.
