Above photo, circa 1900, the "Rose and Crown" is just shown far right, the "Greyhound" is centre."

The only reference I have found so far for this pub is in the census of 1861. Further research has found the following.

LICENSING.

On the application of Mr Ridley a transfer of the licence of the "Rose and Crown Inn," Sutton-at-Hone, was granted to Mr Amos Bates, he having taken the house in succession to Frederick Sandham.
