335 (200) High Street Chatham
Prior to 1874 the building was known as the "Birmingham Arms" and was listed as being at 200 High Street before the renumbering. I am informed that the building has been demolished, date unknown and in its place there is yet another Tesco. Judy Miller kindly informs me that the "Coachmakers Arms" was certainly demolished to make way for a big Tesco store. The whole area between The Brook and Upbury Way (Cage Lane) was demolished just after 1969.
I am informed that the pub closed about 1972 and was demolished shortly afterwards to make way for the Chatham town centre road scheme which created the ring road and Pentagon centre.
