Black Boy 1960

Black Boy

Above photo date unknown, the pub was probably a Style and Winch tied house.

In 1729 Workhouse Trustees met here.

This was a tied "Fleet Brewery" pub in 1865 when the brewery was put up for auction.

I have been informed that the pub was demolished in 1966 shortly after closure, and today (2016) the site is occupied by a charity shop.

See Dartford Map 1905.

Local knowledge, further pictures, and licensee information would be appreciated.

I will be adding the historical information when I find or are sent it, but this project is a very big one, and I do not know when or where the information will come from.

All emails are answered.
