Identified in 1778 as the "Globe Tavern" and changed name for a short time around 1996 to "Elizabeth's" in 1998 it was operating as the "Venue." After the closure of the "Venue" (I believe 2003) it operated as a bathroom showroom for a couple of years. I am informed by Ian Goodrick that the premises at the time of writing (April 2016) is about to re-open as an ice-cream lounge called "Creams."
