PUB LIST PUBLIC HOUSES Paul Skelton

Earliest ????

Coachmaker's Arms

Latest 1802-

Mote Road

Maidstone

I have only found the one reference to this pub at present, and apparently it changed name to the "Monks Head" previous to 1802.

From the Maidstone Journal, 2 February 1802.

"Coach Makers Arms," (late Monk's-Head,) Maidstone.

Richard Bryant begs leave to inform his friends and the public in general, that he has taken the above house, and fitted it up in a very commodious manner, with exceeding good bed; and has laid in an assortment of the best Liquors that can be purchased - which, together with a constant attention to business, he hopes will insure him a continuance of their favours that he has already received.

Good Stall Stabling, with excellent Hay and Corn.
