I am informed that the pub closed in 1946 and the license was transferred to the "Admiral Beatty."

Shot through the Heart. Gravesend publicans Death.

Mr. A Whiffin landlord of the "Albion Hotel," Gravesend, was today found in his sitting room shot through the heart.

A shot gun was lying near him. He had been a licensee in the borough for many years.

At present I am not sure whether this is for the other "Albion Tavern" addressed in the High Street.
