A BAD BARMAN.

Frederick Shillecorn, 25, barman at the "Rose of Kent," Trundleys Road, Deptford, was charged with stealing 13 three-penny pieces, the money of his employer. Harold Harriss.

The prosecutor said he missed some three-penny pieces, and becoming suspicious, called in a detective, who marked some coins, and the witness placed them in the till.

Detective Sergeant Thornell deposed to marking a number of three-penny pieces, and to subsequently finding some of them with others unmarked in the prisoner's coat and vest.

The prisoner, who pleaded guilty, was committed for a month.
