The pub was previously called the "Bridge House" and was near the railway bridge. I am informed it changed name some time in the 1970s. It was functioning in the late 1970s and was always busy. It was in walking distance of the "Bull." It is now (2016) used as a T K Maxx store. I am informed that the pub closed in 1980.
