The building shown above shows the 1840s rebuild, so is not the original building. I have reference to it being closed in 1937 and demolished in 1976. It was situated on the old road to Rochester. At the time of its closure in 1937, another "White Hart" was being opened. That pub although close to the foundations of this one is slightly nearer Gravesend.

The spelling of this pub has been seen as the "White Harte" and also "White Hart."

Kentish Gazette 11 September 1801.

On Thursday se'nnight died, after a short illness, Mr. Bass, master of the "White Hart" public house, at Chalk, near Gravesend; a man much esteemed, respected, and will be justly lamented by his numerous acquaintance.

Local knowledge, further pictures, and licensee information would be appreciated.

I will be adding the historical information when I find or are sent it, but this project is a very big one, and I do not know when or where the information will come from.

All emails are answered.
