Dartford. Death from burning.

On Tuesday evening and inquest was held by Mr. E. A. Cartter, at the "Plough," Lowfield Street, into the circumstances attending the death of Rosanna Cooper, aged 77, who died from the effects of burns received on 10th ult.

The deceased was sitting reading a newspaper, and the lamp exploded setting her clothes on fire, and her husband threw two or three buckets of water to put out the flames. On the following day Dr. Gillespie was called in, but the deceased never recovered and died on Sunday.

A verdict of "Accidental Death" was returned.
