Traced so far back to 1861, the house was put forward redundancy in 1916. Owned by Truman and Co. they described the pub as the "Best House in Maidstone," but also stocked A. F. Style and Co's Fine Ales and Mild Beer.

Redundancy was not taken in 1916 and the house was still serving beers as late as the 1950s.

Local knowledge, further pictures, and licensee information would be appreciated.

I will be adding the historical information when I find or are sent it, but this project is a very big one, and I do not know when or where the information will come from.

All emails are answered.
