From the Kentish Gazette, 17 April 1838.

TO BREWERS, INN-KEEPERS, AND OTHERS.

TO BE SOLD BY PRIVATE CONTRACT, All that compact. BREWHOUSE called the "HOPE BREWERY," now in full trade, situate in Mile Town, Sheerness, together with the four MESSUAGES or COTTAGES, Garden and Outbuildings thereto belonging, now in the occupation of Mr. T. Felton and others.

The property may be viewed by leave of the tenants, and purchased on moderate terms and further particulars known on application at the office of Mr. Hooker, Solicitor, Sheerness. If by letter, post paid.

N.B.— The above property, to an enterprising and active young man, presents an opportunity of rare occurrence, it being the only brewery on the Island, and capable of great improvement.
